Our Mission
Who We Are
The Eastside church is Christ focused and people centred. We believe the Good News about Jesus and seek to share His love and grace with our community.
As an independent body of believers we simply want to be Christians using the wisdom and instructions from the Bible as our guide. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and the only authority for our spiritual practice today.

As a result we are:
Independent - We are an independent body of believers and have no written creed other than The Bible.
Christ Focussed - We encourage one another to grow in truth and as we learn from the word of God. We meet each Sunday to worship our God and encourage each other in song, prayer and giving and to remember Jesus' death and resurrection.
People Centred - Jesus came to reach out to a lost and hurting world, His ministry is to love, to seek and to save. As followers of Jesus we want to do good to all people.
We aren’t perfect but we try to be better people through God’s grace. As a result of that grace we extend a warm invitation to you to come and join us.
We meet each Sunday for an hourly church service and optional tea/coffee.
No matter where you are in life you are always welcome!

What We Believe
Hear the Gospel
It is to hear the gospel. Romans 10:17 states, "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ."
Believe in Jesus
Believing in Jesus is crucial. John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Repent and Turn Away from Past Sins
You need to repent and turn away from your past sins. Acts 3:19 says, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."
Acknowledge That Jesus is the Son of God
It is important to acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God. Romans 10:9-10 advises, "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
Be Baptized for the Forgiveness of Sins and Receive the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:38 encourages, "Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'"
